I wrote a blog post earlier in the year reflecting on the Venture Capital (VC) books I read when I started investing in the space. I noticed that all of the books on that list were written by men and often centred on the male experience of venture investing.

I thought surely there would be books about venture capital investing written by and/or about women in the space. After a little research and reading over the last couple of months here are more books I’m sharing about Venture Capital investing I’ve read.

It’s About Damn Time by Arlan Hamilton

Having recently seen language clumsily be used by (some) investors in the ecosystem I really enjoyed reading how Arlan powerfully uses language to reframe the ‘underrepresented’ tag as really meaning ‘underestimated’. Flipping this on its head on the investor side to then unearth founders was fascinating to read.

I loved the stories, her creativity and quick thinking in so many situations. It’s always good to read about the lived experience of someone different to you. This was such a compelling read, I smashed this book in a couple of sittings!
